  My wife hired Country Fair for a long weekend for us as a surprise from Country Craft Narrowboats. We had a brilliant time and we could take the dog. The training we got from Robert on the locks and the tips from Ashley on the boat was first class that show us just how good later on. It was apparent when we got to the locks that how little training or knowledge some of other boat users had, which was a worry and some of the m looked as if they didn't have a clue and was glad of my help as a fellow "newbee". We decided to take the canal to Brecon which also coincided with the Jazz festival, but the canal takes in several locks, swing bridges both manual and electric, a tunnel and a couple of aqueducts. Country Fair is well equipped and was very manageable. The canal also has a few good cafes and pubs along the route, so apart from cups of tea and coffee that we opted to eat out at. The canal is quiet and peaceful, whilst racing along at 2-3 miles an hour, we heard little roads noise and could pick up wi-fi signal at the pubs and cafes . All in all we had a great time will go back to Country Craft do the rest of the canal towards Crickhowell next time.
